Due to the limited number of writes that is avaliable with SSDs (even tho TRIM helps that longevity) I want to keep the number of writes to the SSD to a minimum. Yes, definately agree, reading from the drive, as a boot of OS only would be better for a 60GB drive since you only need Windows and the system reserved memory as you mentioned.
